Memory Lane

Temple of the Dog "Reach Down"

Back in The Day, Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden...and many others were heard around and about. Grunge was in full effect, and I reveled in it.

How I loved that era! I just got back from a week-long driving trip, and I listened to every one of my Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Creed, and Mad Season CDs along the way.

p.s. I think Chris Cornell has one of the most technical perfect screams in all of grungdom, but something about Eddie Vedder's voice just brings tears to my eyes. I never tire of listening to "I Got Shit" or "I'm in Hiding"!

Yep, Chris Cornell has an amazing voice, but somehow Soundgarden never did it justice. Vedder's got the perfect "grunge" voice. You've inspired my to check out Audioslave, never really listened to them!

Dang...how did I miss Audioslave? Rage Against the Machine with Cornell singing! Good stuff!

Yes - Audioslave was the perfect outlet for Cornell. They had an edge that Soundgarden somehow lacked.
